Investment Accountant II

The West Virginia Investment Management Board (WVIMB) is accepting resumes for an Investment Accountant II. This is a full-time position that offers a great work/life balance. Salary ranges from $60k to $84k, depending on experience.

The WVIMB is a professional financial management organization charged with managing pension and other long-term funds, primarily for the State of West Virginia.

This position is responsible for various facets of investment portfolio and participant accounting.

Functions and basic duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepares journal entries and monthly portfolio account closes
  • Performs account reconciliations
  • Analyzes and verifies information using advanced Excel spreadsheets
  • Prepares monthly financial statements
  • Calculates investment portfolio and participant performance returns
  • Assists in reporting of investment portfolio and benchmark returns
  • Prepares reports for participants, investment officers, auditors, and management
  • Researches and documents complex accounting issues

Qualified applicants will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • CPA license preferred
  • A minimum of two years of experience in public accounting OR three years of progressive accounting experience in a complex industry is required
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required, especially in Excel
  • Must be able to work independently, exercise sound judgment in problem resolution, possess strong analytical skills, and complete work timely and accurately

Investment Accountant III

The WVIMB is a professional financial management organization charged with managing pension and other long-term funds, primarily for the State of West Virginia.

This position is responsible for various facets of investment portfolio and participant accounting.

  • Prepares journal entries and monthly portfolio account closes
