The West Virginia Investment Management Board (WVIMB) is accepting resumes for the following positions:

Internal Auditor

The West Virginia Investment Management Board (WVIMB) is accepting resumes for an Internal Auditor. This is a full-time position that offers a great work/life balance. Partial remote work is offered following a training period. Starting salary ranges from $60k to $75k, depending on experience.

The WVIMB is a professional financial management organization charged with managing pension and other long-term funds, primarily for the State of West Virginia. Specific details about the WVIMB and its operations can be reviewed at www.wvimb.org.

Functions and basic duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct comprehensive audits, analysis, and other assignments in a professional manner and in accordance with approved work programs.
  • Identify, analyze, evaluate, and record sufficient information to achieve work program objectives and to support conclusions.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Assist with the execution of the independent external audit as requested.

Qualified applicants will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred or must be willing to obtain certification within two (2) years of hire
  • Prior auditing experience is a plus
